The Democratic Town Committee represents interests of town Democrats. It meets on the fourth Thursday each month at the Old Fire House but is most active during election periods. Members are elected at caucus by registered Democrats every four years. The Town Committee is assigned required duties by Connecticut General Statutes and plays an important role during the election process by holding caucuses to nominate candidates for local office and delegates to State conventions. All registered Democrats are invited to attend the meetings. At present there are three vacancies. If you are interested in being part of this group please contact the chairman.
